EXPERIENCE
Dr. Kevin Niksarli M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a specialist in LASIK and laser eye surgery. As one of the most experienced and respected LASIK surgeons in New York City and the country, his practice is exclusively dedicated to LASIK and Laser Vision Correction. Since the approval of the excimer Laser in 1995, he has performed over 40,000 successful LASIK procedures. Besides his MD degree, Dr. Niksarli is an engineer and computer scientist by training, which makes him an exact and demanding surgeon, in command of an extremely accurate, advanced and safe laser technology. Dr. Kevin Niksarli is the medical director at Manhattan LASIK Center, one of the most prestigious laser centers in the country. His reputation as a leading New York City LASIK surgeon has resulted in the growth of an international patient population. He is a lecturer and researcher in the field of refractive laser technology, and as a pioneer in LASIK, he has trained many surgeons in the use of the laser. Dr. Niksarli is routinely referred unusual and difficult LASIK cases from other surgeons for his expert opinion and surgical management.
EDUCATION
Dr. Niksarli M.D. has received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, and his MD degree from Cornell University Medical School. After completing an Internship in Internal Medicine, he pursued eye surgery residency training at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital, where his final year of service was distinguished by his appointment as Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. He further obtained extensive additional training at Harvard University and certification in LASIK, PRK, Laser Vision Correction, Corneal Transplants, and Cataract Surgery, both during and after his Fellowship at the renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Cornell University – NY Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Kevin Niksarli is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been conferred the status of Diplomat by the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Niksarli has also been awarded the prestigious VISX Star Award for his vast experience for performing LASIK surgery utilizing the VISX Laser. Dr. Niksarli is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the New York State Ophthalmological Society. As a leader and expert in LASIK, Dr. Niksarli has also been listed in the America's Top Ophthalmologists.
