Impressive Credentials
Dr. Niksarli studied at Columbia University, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with full academic scolarship. His focus during his undergraduate years was primarily Computer Software and Hardware Technology, as well as Pre-medical studies. Upon graduating with high marks in the Dean's List, he chose to continue his career at the prestigious Cornell University Medical School. During his years as a medical student at Cornell, he also engaged in extensive research, primarily in Ophthalmology. Upon receiving his M.D. degree with distinction in research and clinical programs, he pursued a one-year internship in internal medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Niksarli was invited for a three-year ophthalmology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he climbed the ranks to be the Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. Subsequently, he further supplemented his comprehensive ophthalmology training at Harvard University. For his natural talent, impressive surgical record and outstanding academic achievements, he was invited to a fellowship program in Cornea and Refractive Surgery jointly at the renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Cornell University/New York Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Niksarli serves on staff as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at such prestigious New York City institutions as Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, and New York University Medical Center. Following his 14 years of specialized studies (subsequent to high school), Dr. Niksarli founded Manhattan LASIK Center in the heart of Manhattan, some 15 years ago.

In recognition for his high standard of patient care, Dr. Niksarli has been conferred the status of Diplomate by both the National Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the New York State Ophthalmological Society, among others.
